Frequently asked questions
As a general rule, we do not serve start-up companies. However, if the case concerns a project company managed by the established management of an existing business, we are likely able to assist. Early-stage companies may also be served on a case-by-case basis where the company has received a significant public funding decision that can effectively serve as collateral for loan financing.
We offer three different versions of our loan application service depending on the amount of financing sought. As our pricing may vary to some extent, we recommend requesting detailed pricing information once your objectives are defined and the matter becomes relevant. In general, the pricing of our service consists of three components: a base fee invoiced at the start of the engagement, a success fee invoiced once the financing has been arranged, and, where applicable, an intermediary offer fee invoiced after the client has accepted a financing offer or credit decision.
Yes, the service may be terminated at any stage. In such cases, only the agreed costs for work performed up to that point and any fees not yet invoiced will be charged. In addition, Finanssitaito retains the right to a success fee for a period of three years following the termination of the engagement for any financing arrangements to which actions carried out within the scope of Finanssitaito’s services have contributed during the engagement period.
Before offering our services and entering into an engagement agreement, we always conduct a thorough assessment of the client’s situation and the financing project. If the success of the project appears uncertain, we will not offer an engagement but will provide our best view on what the client should do to improve their financing eligibility. In such cases, we do not charge for our advice and welcome the client to return at a later stage when their situation has changed. Over 90% of our clients who have applied for financing through our services have successfully obtained financing.
When an engagement is initiated, we invoice the base fee for the service. Thereafter, depending on the financing amount sought and the selected service, we will invoice either an intermediary offer fee or the success fee once the financing has been arranged. If the financing cannot be arranged, previously invoiced base fees or offer fees will not be refunded. However, we may keep the engagement active and reactivate it if or when the client’s situation changes at a later stage.
We typically require the most recent financial statements, income statement and balance sheet, as well as any budgets and forecasts, a business plan (in the case of a new company), and information on liabilities, collateral and ownership.
